Infill in Charlotte’s Historic Cherry Community

Saussy Burbank is pleased to announce a new infill project in Charlotte’s historic Cherry community. The company is breaking ground later this month on the first three homes—a model and two for-sale homes. The project will ultimately feature 39 single-family homes and two duplex lots for a total of 43 homes situated on Main, Baxter, Luther and Eli streets.

“Cherry is a charming neighborhood in a terrific location,” said Jim Burbank, a Saussy Burbank partner. “It is very close to uptown and within walking distance to retail, a grocery store, restaurants and the popular Little Sugar Creek Greenway and its beautiful fountains and trails. Public and private investment in this area has ignited the redevelopment of Cherry. We’re proud to join in the renaissance.”

Home prices for the single-family homes are expected to range from the high $400s to the low $600s with the initial six homes offered from $550,000 to $625,000. Homes will be custom-designed by Narmour Wright Architecture and 505 Design Group in collaboration with the Saussy Burbank in-house design team.

“The architecture will pay tribute to the style and vernacular of the surrounding neighborhoods,” said Burbank. “It’s important to us that we respect what’s there. The real benefit for buyers is a new home – and all the elements that go along with it – in an older, close-in neighborhood.”

A sales office/model home is expected to open in May 2015. Sales Consultant Pam Cook will handle sales. Until the sales office is complete, Cook can be reached at 704-677-2128 or pam.cook@saussyburbank.com.
