Saussy Burbank Wins 2018 ASID Carolinas Interior Design Awards
We are very pleased to announce Saussy Burbank was the recipient of three honors from the ASID Carolinas 2018 Design Awards. Saussy Burbank, along with interior designer Susan Hill, won two second place awards in the Model Home Category for our Summerville, SC model homes at Nexton and Summers Corner, and a first place award for our beautiful New Home Design Center in Charlotte.

In the model homes, our challenge was to repurpose furniture to create a modern, sophisticated, chic farmhouse aesthetic. “Fortunately I love the challenge of taking existing pieces and re-purposing them; using new upholstery, new paint finishes, and in some cases reusing only the best of a piece and adding to it to create an entirely new item,” Susan says.

In the Design Center, we had to meet the aesthetics of our office space while providing a thoughtful experience for clients as they design their new homes. “Many builder selection centers display all of the products flush on the walls so they are visible immediately. This can be particularly overwhelming to clients who are already overwhelmed by the process of building their home,” Susan says.
